KudiRaise exists because the tools Nigerians were using to raise money were never designed for Nigeria.
When a Nigerian family needs to raise money quickly — a surgery, a fire, a final semester — what usually happens is an account number in a group chat. It works, sometimes. But there is no record, no way for a stranger to know the need is real, and no way to give from abroad without losing a chunk of it to fees and a friend's foreign account.
The global platforms do not fill that gap. GoFundMe does not operate in Nigeria. The workarounds cost money, and more importantly they cost trust — which is the thing fundraising cannot work without.
KudiRaise is the version built on the rails people here already use. Naira native. Bank transfer first. Verification that says what it checked. Money that reaches a Nigerian bank account the same day.
