What cannot be funded on KudiRaise
This list protects donors, organisers with genuine needs, and our ability to process payments at all. It is not exhaustive — we may stop any campaign that presents a serious fraud, legal, or compliance risk.
Illegal or restricted goods
- Anything illegal under Nigerian law
- Drugs and controlled substances
- Counterfeit goods, or anything infringing a copyright or trademark
- Age-restricted goods sold without proper verification
- Weapons and ammunition
Financial and regulated activity
- Gambling, betting, and games of chance
- Investment schemes, funds, and anything promising a return
- Loan repayment presented as an investment opportunity
- Unlicensed financial services
- Cryptocurrency trading, mining ventures, and signals services
Deception
- A need you cannot evidence when asked
- A beneficiary who has not consented to the campaign
- Claiming a verification, endorsement, or partnership you do not have
- Reusing photographs or a story that are not yours
- Fake reviews, manufactured social proof, or engagement farming
Harm
- Campaigns promoting violence, hate, or harassment of any group
- Legal defence funds for violent crimes
- Unverified medical or pharmaceutical claims, including miracle cures
- Malware, exploits, or unauthorised access tools
- Anything targeting minors without appropriate safeguards
What happens if a campaign breaks these rules
The campaign is stopped and withdrawals are frozen. Where money has been raised but not withdrawn, donors are refunded. Where it has already been withdrawn, we pursue recovery and may report the matter.
