At about 4:30am on 22 July, a fire spread through the eastern section of Mile 12 market. Forty lock-up stalls were destroyed. No lives were lost, but every trader in that row lost their entire stock.
The association has assessed each affected trader and costed a restart package: ₦75,000 per stall covering rebuilt shelving and initial inventory.
Disbursements are made directly to each trader, and receipts are posted as campaign updates.
